Why did you choose portrait and Fine Art photography ?
Portrait and Fine Art photography is about capturing the essence, personality, identity and attitude of a person by utilizing backgrounds, lighting and posing. The goal is to capture a photo that appears both natural and prepare to allow the subject’s personality to show through.
Portrait and Fine Art photography is a constant challenge and requires the photographers creativity in order to really achieve beautiful results.

Which camera are you using?
The Nikon D750 is a remarkable camera.
The Nikon D750 is an awesome camera and very excellent image quality and excellent handling, the Nikon D750 remains an excellent choice for stills orientated photographers. As for the video, the Nikon D750’s 1080p may look good but there are few other cameras that can shoot 4K with superior video quality.
Your favorite lens?
My favorite lens in my bag is the 85mm 1.8. It creates such beautiful bokeh. I love that because it is long enough to catch action from a distance and close enough to interact with my subjects. It has barely left my camera since I got it. It’s super sharp and is definitely my go to lens for an outdoor session.

One photography product you regret buying and why?
Years back I bought a battery grip , thinking that the extra battery life would be useful.
What I didn’t realise was that battery grip only held 1 battery and I had to still fit one in the usual slot in the camera , so when it need recharging I had to take the battery grip off everytime.
Your favorite post processing tool?
Photoshop started the digital image manipulation revolution more than 30 years ago, and Adobe’s groundbreaking application continues to be the best photo editing software
Photoshop can be an immensely useful tool for professional photographers, especially in portrait and wedding photography. It allows you to tweak the details of a photo to make a scene or portrait even more beautiful.
Do you pay your models?
Models are people too, and they’re in a similar business as photographers, trying to make money from what they enjoy. So be prepared to pay a reasonable amount that you would expect to get for your time. It’s better to pay a bit more in the short term in order to build a lasting working relationship for the long term.

What is the secret of making crisp and sharp images?
Taking sharp images is something that most photographers want but clean, crisp, sharp images can be difficult to achieve.
Poor focus – The most obvious way to get images that are ‘un-sharp’ is by shooting them out of focus. This might be a result of focusing on the wrong part of the subject, being too close to your subject for the camera to focus, selecting an aperture that produces a very narrow depth of field, or taking an image too quickly without checking that it is in focus. All these mistakes plays a part in making a bad image, so a good focus and the right aperture are the keys to success if you want sharp images.
How do you see photography as a career option?
A photograph helps to form beautiful stories of life through the captured images but requires a thorough knowledge of the subject. It is with these pictures that people get to revive the bygone moments and re-create those that truly matter, to look back and enjoy for years.
Career of a professional photographer is thus thrilling and innovative. Creativity is the soul of choosing photography as a career option.
So if you have the creative drive in you, it is the time you pick up the camera and make a profession out of it.

What inspires you to make lovely pictures all the time?
Nothing inspires me more than producing an authentic image that captures the true nature of my subject. Photos are lasting, they are a window to really see a person how he / she looks like. A photo reflects their personality and their life. Giving someone a great image of themselves makes me thrilled. Especially when I know how the finished product compares to the quality of a point and shoot or cellphone (no matter how good they’re getting). I like thinking about someone picking up the photograph and smiling because what they’re seeing reflects the person they know and love.”

Do you remember the first picture you took ?
Your first photo may be shot on a DSLR, or even a smartphone, which is always the best photo for your world.
April 2016, I went to Goa on a Family trip. I clicked lots of pictures of Beach, Rose garden, and Rock but unfortunately I don’t have them now.
Monochrome or colour? Why?
Monochrome photography is any photography that utilizes differing amounts of light instead of different colors to capture and represent images.
Working in monochrome, you will find it probably easier to “see the light,” to see properties such as highlights, shadows, intensity, direction, degree of hardness or softness, how it falls off over distance, reflections, refractions, diffusion, and so forth. Yes, one property of light is color and it’s important photographers understand that as well, but removing that attribute can often help you better see the interaction of light on your subject.

Do you have any special photograph which you will remember for a long time to come?
I want to talk to you about a favourite photograph of mine.
The photograph by the title “Romantic Alo” is my Signature photo, I got lot many awards for this photo in india , Thailand , Singapore, Italy ,Romania, and many more.
I clicked this photo in 2018 at Kolkata with my friends. I love the expression of the model and the lighting particularly.
A photo shoot is a series of images that are taken with the goal of obtaining images that can then be placed into post-production, or editing.
There are many ways to make a portrait photo have more interesting lighting.
Alo is my model. She did’nt knew anything about modelling at that time, she was not a professional model but she was my friend that’s why she had done this shoot with us. After post processing this photograph sent me a sense of great happiness and good vibes so I named it “Romantic Alo”.

Your advice to aspiring photographers.
Invest in yourself before investing in equipment or other things that you think will make your work better. Invest in workshops, classes, breakouts before investing in lenses, actions/presets, props, etc. Give yourself lots of time to practice and learn. Become involved in the forum and make friends to learn and grow with!
